Do you remember Huddersfield Town’s last match against West Brom at the Hawthorns?

The Terriers’ last match away at West Bromwich Albion came in the 2000/01 season in Division One when Lou Macari was in charge.

His Town side took the lead against the Baggies through Andy Booth. The striker spotted Albion ‘keeper Russell Hoult off his line and produced a brilliant lob from 30 yards out to give the Terriers the lead; that goal was Boothy’s second since his return to the McAlpine Stadium (John Smith’s Stadium).

Macari’s side was only ahead for 10 minutes against the high-flying West Brom side. Dutch midfielder Richard Sneekes played a pinpoint pass through the Town defence to send WBA’s then-record signing Jason Roberts through on goal.

The Grenada international rounded Town ‘keeper Nico Vaesen before placing the ball into the empty net.
