Midfielder Philip Billing explained the only thing missing from Huddersfield Town’s performance was a goal.
Billing explained to #HTTV after the 2-0 Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round defeat to Manchester United that a number of positives can be taken out of a very good team perfomance, admitting that the lack of a cutting edge cost his side.
The 21 year-old said that the Terriers went into the game fearless, whilst praising the Huddersfield Town supporters for continuing their incredible support.
Phil praised the players’ character for reacting well after going a goal down after three minutes and revealed what it was like to have the majority of the ball against a side like Manchester United.
Philip Billing was quick to mention that attentions have firmly changed to the West Brom game on Saturday and explained how a performance, like the one today, can help build on Town’s momentum.
Following the defeat, Philip Billing commented:
“We had our chances in the first half and didn’t really take them; against a team like this you’re going to get punished.
“We made a few individual mistakes, which I was a part of for the second goal, but that happens against the top teams; they’re going to punish you.
“After all I think we played a good game, the only thing we needed was a goal in the first half.”
