Mathias Zanka spoke of his frustration after Huddersfield Town’s 2-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion at the John Smith’s Stadium.

The Denmark international put the Terriers ahead after just 55 seconds, however, following Mounié’s red card, Town conceded twice.

When speaking to #HTTV, Zanka explained that it just wasn’t Town’s day.

“When you start the game like we did and then to go down to 10 men, and the way and times that they scored, especially when we thought a few things should’ve gone our way, but it didn’t, we are extremely frustrated.

“I think today was one of those days that happens in football where you just don’t get the things that you deserve.”

Zanka returned to the starting line-up after missing the win over Wolves on Sunday through suspension. He described how it felt to give Town the lead.

“For some reason the ball was coming back in, I felt like I had a good run up to it and I just tried to make sure that it was on target when I actually hit the ball and it went in.

“It felt great to be back and playing in front of our home crowd.”
