Two changes to the starting XI to face Saints

- Two changes to Huddersfield Town line-up to face Southampton
- Jonathan Hogg misses out with a knee injury
- Isaac Mbenza makes first home start; Steve Mounié returns

Head Coach David Wagner has handed a first home Premier League start to Isaac Mbenza as one of two changes to Town’s starting XI in today’s game against Southampton; 3pm kick-off at the John Smith’s Stadium.

The 22-year-old Belgian comes into the team for his first start since the game at Watford on 27 October, with Jonathan Hogg unfortunately side-lined with a knee problem.

In the absence of ‘Hoggy’ and Club Captain Tommy Smith, Christopher Schindler captains the Terriers this afternoon.

The other change comes in attack, where Steve Mounié returns from his three-match suspension to replace Laurent Depoitre.

Alongside Depoitre among the substitutes is Adama Diakhaby, who comes in for fellow summer recruit Ramadan Sobhi.

Two of the other substitutes – Elias Kachunga and Collin Quaner – played for new Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl at German side FC Ingolstadt 04.

David Wagner is without the services of Tommy Smith (hamstring), Jonathan Hogg (knee), Aaron Mooy (knee), Danny Williams (knee) and Abdelhamid Sabiri (collarbone).
