- Aaron Mooy to continue injury rehab at Huddersfield Town
- Town & FFA reach mutual decision to keep Aaron in Huddersfield
- Socceroos to replace Aaron in the squad for the Asian Cup

Midfielder Aaron Mooy will continue rehabilitation from his knee injury at Huddersfield Town following an independent review of his condition.

Aaron underwent an independent review of his recent knee injury on Friday (21 December) under the supervision of the Socceroos' High Performance Coordinator – Senior Physiotherapist, Phil Coles.

The outcome of the review is that Aaron will remain with Huddersfield Town to complete his rehabilitation to ensure he returns to full fitness as safe and as quickly as possible.

During the remainder of his rehabilitation, HTAFC and Football Federation Australia will remain in close communications to optimise the player’s future availability.

The Socceroos will replace Aaron in their 23-man squad for the upcoming Asian Cup in January 2019.

Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner commented:

“I’m really happy that, together with the FFA, we have reached the mutual decision for Aaron to continue his rehabilitation in Huddersfield. Everyone’s collective goal is to ensure Aaron’s long-term health and safe return to fitness.

“We are in good communication with the FFA and they’re welcome to visit and check in on Aaron’s progress with us at all times.”
