Huddersfield Mission Café vouchers available from Town’s retail outlets

- New initiative launched with Huddersfield Mission
- Town fans can make a difference in the local community
- You can purchase Mission vouchers from HTAFC’s retail outlets

“Huddersfield Town fans have shown their generosity again and again over the years and I’m sure they will seize this chance to make a huge difference to the lives of those people that need help in our community.”

Those are the words of Town Foundation trustee Janet Hoyle as Huddersfield Town continues an initiative with the Huddersfield Mission that can assist those people who need help in our area.

Supporters can now buy a meal voucher for the Huddersfield Mission Café from the Club’s retail outlets. If you pass someone living on the street every day, or if you know of somebody else that needs help, this is an easy way to make a real difference to their lives and set them up with the expert help offered by the Huddersfield Mission and its specialist staff.

Each voucher entitles the holder to a drink, a hot meal and a pudding in the welcoming atmosphere of the Mission Café, located on Lord Street in the town centre.

The staff at the Mission Café are also on hand to offer help, support, advice or just a listening ear between 9.30am and 2pm from Monday to Friday.

The vouchers, which are priced at £3.50 each, are now available from the Stadium Superstore, the Packhorse Centre store in Huddersfield town centre or online at htafcmegastore.com, where you have the option to add one to your basket as you checkout.

All money made from the vouchers will be given directly to the Huddersfield Mission and supporters who purchase will receive further info about the Mission and its important work.

Kayleigh Proctor from the Huddersfield Mission explained:

“The vouchers are designed to help those who may be homeless, struggling financially or who may be vulnerable in some other way. They meet an individual’s immediate need of a nutritious and filling meal in a warm and safe environment, but also provide an opportunity to access free, confidential advice and support from one of our dedicated team.

“Our advisors can help with a range of subjects from housing and debt to mental health and addiction, but they can also provide a listening ear.

“At the Mission we understand that people’s circumstances can be complex and that we need to focus on both the immediate needs and underlying causes to achieve our goal of Serving People, Changing Lives.”

Julie Sheffield from the Town Foundation added:

“On top of our work on the Big Sleepout, we’re delighted that Huddersfield Town and the Town Foundation can continue to support the vital work that the Huddersfield Mission undertakes in this way.

“Huddersfield Town fans have shown their generosity again and again over the years and I’m sure they will seize this chance to make a huge difference to the lives of those people that need help in our community."
