Chris Löwe spoke of his disappointment as Huddersfield Town fell to a 1-0 defeat at the John Smith’s Stadium to Newcastle United on Saturday 15 December 2018.

Salomón Rondón slotted home midway through the second-half for the Magpies. Despite that goal, Town dominated possession and fought hard throughout the match but were unable to get on the scoresheet.

Huddersfield Town defender Chris Löwe spoke to #HTTV after the game of the side’s disappointment.

“Obviously we are disappointed. We played alright but, in the end, we haven’t got a result and that is the most important thing. That is why we are disappointed today.

“We dominated them in the first-half. They had two or three half-chances, and with their first shot on target they scored a goal.

“I think everybody knows that Newcastle are a hard team to break down and especially when they are a goal ahead, they are even more difficult to break down and that is what we have seen today.”

Despite the disappointment, Löwe stated that the players will all try put the defeat to the back of their minds as soon as possible and look to focus on next weekend’s home game against Southampton.

“We will prepare as hard as we can for our next game and we know that we have the chance to win it.”
