Juninho impressed during the game at the Emirates and told #HTTV that he had to be mentally strong to remain composed both in and out of possession.

“It was great to play against Arsenal. Most the time you see them on TV, you see how good they are and then you’re standing on the pitch against them; that’s something you dream about.

“For me, Arsenal is a big club but when you’re playing you have to see everyone as humans, that they’re no different to you, you have to show what you can and try to make your best performance.”

“We have a great squad, and everybody wants to play, everybody shows it in training that they are ready to play – I am one of them.

“I always dreamed of playing in the Premier League, I’ve achieved that and now my aim is to make more appearances, get some more minutes, and to play from the start to show the coaches that I’m ready to play and that I can be a part of this.”

This weekend the Terriers faces Newcastle United at the John Smith’s Stadium and the Netherlands Under-21 international spoke of his excitement to play in front of the Town crowd, once again.

“I know how good the atmosphere is and I hope that we can get the fans some more points. I want to help keep Huddersfield Town in the Premier League.

“This game is very important, we have to win this game to get points and to go up in the table. We have to show everything to get three points.”

This game is the start of the Christmas period that sees Town play five games in six weeks.

During this period, Juninho usually has a winter break, however, he explained how he’s relishing the new challenge ahead of him.

“It’s something different, normally I have two weeks holiday where I will relax and enjoy Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Now I will play games and it’s good because all I want to do is play games and football.”
