The Huddersfield Town Supporters Association (HTSA) will hold a special Women at the Game event ahead of Saturday’s Premier League game against Newcastle United.

The Club has been working with the HTSA on the ‘Women at the Game’ initiative which aims to give women their first taste of live football in a supportive environment.

Women, girls and guardians, who are Huddersfield Town fans, have been invited to attend a special event held on the third floor of the Odeon Cinema.

At the social gathering, there will be a finger food buffet, an Xbox with FIFA on and a raffle where a signed ball is the main prize!

The event will take place on the Third Floor of the Odeon Cinema from 1pm to 2.45pm.

11 December 2018

Co-chair at the HTSA, Emily Broome, commented:

“At HTSA one of our main goals is to proactively support women’s and girl’s football and female fandom.

“We are delighted that Huddersfield Town has supported us with the Women at the Game initiative for a second season.

“The Women at the Game project aims to give women and girls their first taste of live football in a supportive environment.

“We will be holding a pre-match gathering on the Odeon top floor before enjoying the game from the Fantastic Media stand.

“We would also like to encourage Town fans to go up to Storthes Hall to watch the brilliant Huddersfield Town Ladies.”

Next to the special Women at the Game event, Visual Journalist Jude Palmer will also be hosting a photo exhibition displaying pictures from her ‘Moment in Time’.

Jude’s exhibition will also take place on the third floor of the Odeon Cinema and will run right up to kick-off!

Supporters will be able to take a look at a carefully selected range of pictures taken from the ‘Moment in Time’ book.
