Erik Durm has urged everyone to keep fighting ahead of Huddersfield Town’s Boxing Day game against Manchester United.

Town come into the game off the back of five straight defeats and now face Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s side at Old Trafford.

The defender spoke to #HTTV and explained that everyone’s still working hard together.

“I think it’s a tough game on the 26th, but a good opportunity for us.

“Everyone wants to play at Old Trafford. We have to put everything in the grass, fighting, keeping going forward and we will see.

“We are all excited, no-one needs to have a push, we all want to play in these games, for these gives you live as a football, you want to be on the biggest stages, and this is one of them.”

This will be Solskjær’s second game in charge and first at the Theatre of Dreams, but Erik isn’t focusing on Manchester United.

“We have to focus on our game, try to put in all our effort and not think about whether they’ve changed their Coach or not.

“We have to keep on fighting, stay in our structure and have a good match plan, then we will see what happens.”

Erik Durm is getting his first taste of an English Christmas period and believes having a number of games in a short period of time will help the Terriers.

“We stand together as a team, of course the last games were tough, and we didn’t get the points we wanted to get.

“We can’t look back, we have to look forward and try our best in the next games.

“Every three or four days we have a new game and we have to be focused on that.”
