Join Huddersfield Town on its newest challenge, ‘The Wilson Walk’- a fundraising walk from Huddersfield Town to Burnley Football Club, paying tribute to Town legend Ray Wilson MBE, sponsored by Lister Horsfall.

The walk will begin at the John Smith’s Stadium with the planned route going through Sowerby Bridge, Hebden Bridge and into Turf Moor prior to the Terriers’ away game vs Burnley Football Club on Saturday 6 October.

The walk will raise funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance as well as the Alzheimer’s Society, a charity close to the Wilson family’s heart.

Club Ambassador Andy Booth commented:

“We are proud to be able to dedicate this year’s Walk for Pounds event to the memory of World Cup hero Ray Wilson and look forward to raising money for two very deserving charities in his honour.

“If you’re interested in doing the Walk I’d urge you to sign up as soon as possible and join us on this special event”.

Spaces are limited to 200 people and the registration fee is £25 which covers refreshments during the walk, a t-shirt and coach transfer back from Burnley after the game. Participants are asked to raise a minimum of £100 which will be split equally between YAA and the Alzheimer’s Society.

To sign up, please download the sign-up and medical forms HERE and send both to andy.booth@htafc.com or drop in with payment to the John Smith’s Stadium for Boothy’s attention and you’ll be sent all the necessary information in due course!

Fans must sign up before close of play on 22 August.

Please note the minimum age to take part is 14, and 14 and 15-year olds will require a signed parental/guardian consent form which can be downloaded above.

The Walk is the fifth of its kind, with past events raising upwards of £100,000 for the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign.
