Durm & Bacuna make competitive debuts for the Terriers

- David Wagner faces Huddersfield Town team to face Stoke City
- Erik Durm & Juninho Bacuna make competitive debuts in the Carabao Cup
- First Terriers start for Isaac Mbenza at the bet365 Stadium

Erik Durm and Juninho Bacuna make their competitive debuts for Huddersfield Town in tonight’s Carabao Cup Round Two game against Stoke City; 8pm kick-off at the bet365 Stadium.

Having made appearances in the pre-season campaign, German defender Durm (pictured above) and Dutch midfielder Bacuna both start this evening.

Isaac Mbenza, fresh from his Town debut as a substitute against Cardiff City last weekend, makes his first start in a Town shirt on the wing too.

As expected, Danny Williams makes his first appearance of the season too, capping off a long return from last season’s serious ankle injury, whilst Elias Kachunga also makes his first appearance of the new season.

Ben Hamer isn’t in tonight’s squad due to the knee injury he picked up against the Bluebirds, so Jonas Lössl makes his first start of 2018/19. This means that 18-year-old England Under-21 international Ryan Schofield makes his first appearance on a senior team-sheet as tonight’s substitute ‘keeper.

Former Stoke man Ramadan Sobhi is still side-lined with his knee injury.

If tonight's game is level after 90 minutes, the tie will go straight to penalties.
