Town’s reigning Young Player of the Year Florent Hadergjonaj says the team is in good shape ahead of the start of the new Premier League season after Friday night’s win over RB Leipzig.

The 24-year-old played another 45 minutes against the German Bundesliga side, helping Town to win 3-0 on a scorching evening in Schwaz, Austria.

“I think we look very sharp,” Flo told #HTTV post-match.

“For sure, we must work on the details and tactics next week when we are back in the UK, but we played very well against Leipzig – as we did against Olympique Lyonnais. We finished this pre-season training camp in a positive way.”

Town utilised both a 3-5-2 and 4-2-3-1 in the game; something that Flo believes stands them in good stead for the season.

“To play any system, you need the players and we’ve got some good new players. We’re a good team. We’re happy that we can play more than one system; this is important in the Premier League.”

Throughout his #HTTV interview, Town’s traveling fans chanted for every member of the squad and backroom staff and the Swiss international was quick to praise the hundreds of fans who have travelled to Austria to support the side.

“For me, this is new! I was ready to do this interview, but they called me and sang my song so I went to them first. They’ve travelled a long way and we’re happy that we have them. They help us to achieve our goals.”
