Head Coach David Wagner believes his side must put in the hard & ugly yards if they want to be successful in this weekend’s Premier League game against Everton.

The Terriers go into the match at the John Smith’s Stadium six points clear of the relegation zone with four games remaining, something that David Wagner admits is a good position, but not yet perfect.

Despite the close of the season drawing in, David Wagner admits his side are aware of the situation, but all focus is on the performance required in tomorrow’s game.

David Wagner went on to mention the supporters and how important they can be in taking his side to another level as they look to seize this ‘great’ opportunity for the Football Club.

Ahead of the Everton match, David Wagner commented:

“I would say 6 points with 4 games to go sounds good and is good. But we need perfect and for this we need more points and the perfect scenario is that we secure our status. This is what we are working towards and are focused on.

“We have a great opportunity in front of us in tomorrow’s game at our home stadium. I think like always it’s important that we focus on the next one and that’s tomorrow. Even if I would never rule us out to collect points in the last three games as well.

“We have created this situation that we have, which is wonderful. We play at home with four games to go with this opportunity and - with the win - it may be done. Everyone is aware and focused on this.

“I’m not often in the city centre, but everything I hear at PPG and around the Town is that every supporter can’t wait like us; so, bring it on. I have the trust and belief that they [the supporters] will be there in numbers tomorrow - like they were the whole season - in terms of noise; we need another level.

“Tomorrow we will have to make the hard yards and the ugly yards to be successful against an Everton side that we respect and are a good one; no doubt about it. The supporters also know that this is a great opportunity for this Football Club.”
