Defender wins the night’s biggest awards

Christopher Schindler was named the Hargreaves Memorial Trophy Player of the Year at Huddersfield Town’s 2018 Annual Awards ceremony, sponsored by Yorkshire Payments.
The German centre-back received 57% of the fans’ votes via the Huddersfield Examiner, with Jonathan Hogg second on 20%, Florent Hadergjonaj third with 5% and ‘keeper Jonas Lössl in fourth with 4%.
‘Schindy’ also walked away with the Players’ Player of the Year award, which is sponsored by Pure Legal Limited, after receiving the most votes from his Huddersfield Town teammates.
Florent Hadergjonaj, who was named third on the list for Player of the Year, was named Players’ Young Player of the Year by his teammates, with Steve Mounié closely in second.
