“This game is really important” admitted Rajiv van La Parra when speaking ahead of Town’s match against Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League this weekend.
The attacking midfielder went into detail about how crucial he believes Saturday’s match to be as we begin to enter the closing stages of the Premier League season, whilst detailing how focused the team has been around the Club’s PPG Canalside Training Ground.
Rajiv stressed that everyone is fighting for survival together and admitted that this weekend’s match is a perfect one to show that.
The 26 year-old explained what he expects from Brighton & Hove Albion at the AMEX Stadium, whilst recalling his loan spell at the Seagulls.
Not only that but Rajiv also revealed why he thinks he’s had his best goal return this season, since moving to England.
When speaking to #HTTV, the winger explained:
“Each game become more important because there aren’t many games left, every time you get closer to the end.
“Now in the position, which we are, we need the points really hard, especially after the last results didn’t go our way.
“It’s good to be able to be in a position to turn it around and I think Brighton is the perfect opponent for us to do that.
“It’s really important; for us it’s important we stay in the league, as it is for the fans.
“In the dressing room everyone is calm and focused like it should be, so there’s not a lot of pressure. It’s good that we don’t feel a lot of pressure.
“We are really focused and know how important this game is.”
