Huddersfield Town’s Under-17s side will take on Cardiff City in the U18 Professional Development League on Saturday 7 April 2018.

The match will take place at the Cardiff International Sports Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 11am.

Leigh Bromby’s side occupies ninth place in the Under-18 Professional Development League North table, having so far earned 32 points from 25 matches.

Town’s Academy Manager is likely to name an Under-17s side consisting largely of first years against the Bluebirds, as the majority of Town’s second year scholars are currently gaining their first tastes of senior football through work experience spells at non-league sides.

The Young Terriers dell to a 3-1 defeat in its last U18 Professional Development League game against Nottingham Forest at PPG Canalside.

However, a number of Town’s Under-18s were involved in the U19 Champions Trophy tournament, where the Young Terriers finished fourth in the competition.

Cardiff City head into the game on the back of successive wins, beating both Watford and Sheffield United 4-1 and 8-0 respectively.

Managed by Under-18s Coach Matthew Bloxham, the Bluebirds sit fifth in the South Professional Development League table with 36 points from 24 games.
