Mark Hudson’s Young Terriers won their seventh game in 10 matches, beating the Hornets 4-3 at Vicarage Road.
Despite going behind in the eighth minute, Town’s young side responded positively pulling a goal back just two-minutes later as Rekeil Pyke placed Mason O’Malley’s cross past the ‘keeper.
The striker doubled his tally and put Town ahead just after the half an hour mark following a terrific pass from Scott High, before missing a penalty on the stroke of half-time.
However, Rekeil did get his hat-trick early in the second half after linking up nicely with O’Brien.
Watford pulled a goal back before U23 Captain Lewis O’Brien restored Town’s two goal cushion after rounding the ‘keeper.
With five minutes remaining Watford made it 4-3 but Town held out to secure all three points.
