-Work experience spells continue for academy players

Several Town players have been performing out on loan at other clubs this season, htafc.com took a look at their progress and to see how they’re getting on.

Dylan Cogill and Jack Boyle – Clyde FC (Scottish League 2)

Clyde currently sit one place outside the play-off in fifth position on 48 points, with Fourth place Stenhousemuir four points ahead on 52 with a game in hand.

Jack Boyle has scored 3 goals in his 8 starts for theClub, two of which came in their recent 2-1 win over Stirling Albion as he struck twice just after half-time mark.

Defender Dylan Cogill has also featured prominently for the side, having made 13 appearances since joining the Scottish outfit on loan.

Olly Dyson – Shaw Lane (Evo-Stik Premier)

Following a run of five goals in five games at Liversedge, Olly moved onto Shaw Lane and carried over his good form for his new club in the Evo-Stick Premier.

Olly netted two late goals to steer his side to a 3-1 win over Rushall Olympic. Olly also opened the scoring in a recent 2-0 win over Stalybridge Celtic.

That makes it three goals in four starts for his new Club as Shaw Lane currently sit sixth in the Evo-Stick Premier, four points off Farsley Celtic in the final play-off position with five games left to play.

Isaac Marriott and Oran Thompson – Brighouse Town (Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Division One North)

Brighouse are ten points clear of the relegation zone in the Evo-Stick Northern Premier League Division and have won three of their last five league games.

Isaac Marriot has started five times and made four appearances from the bench, the most recent of which was a 75-minute spell in their 2-0 win over Clitheroe.

Oran Thompson has started three times for Brighouse. His last outing came in a 1-0 victory over Marine at St Giles Road.

George Danaher, Sam Gibson & Cameron Taylor – Liversedge FC (Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division)

George Danaher featured twice for Liversedge off of the bench before having his season ended early through injury.

Sam Gibson has started seven times and has made five substitute appearances for his side. The most recent being a 3-1 victory away against Garforth Town.

Young defender Cameron Taylor has also spent time on loan at Liversedge, making 5 appearances and scoring 1 goal after 10 minutes in a recent 6-3 win over Maltby.

Liversedge currently sit eleventh in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division, 25 points off the relegation places and 15 points off Hemsworth Mines Welfare in sixth.

Liversedge have nine more games to play before their season concludes, with the final game coming at home to Thackley on May 3.

Jack Payne – Blackburn Rovers (Sky Bet League 1)

Jack’s most recent appearance for Rovers was a substitute appearance, replacing League One Player of the Year Bradley Dack in Blackburn’s 1-1 draw with Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Stadium.

The attacking-midfielder has made 15 league appearances for Blackburn since joining in January, adding to the 28 he notched while on loan at fellow League One side Oxford United at the start of the season.

Blackburn currently sit second in League One, three points behind leaders Wigan Athletic and five points clear of Shrewsbury Town in third.

Jordy Hiwula – Fleetwood Town (Sky Bet League 1)

Jordy’s most recent involvement for Fleetwood came in the recent derby against Blackpool. His shot came back off the post and fell to team mate Wes Burns who steered home the rebound to give Fleetwood the lead, with The Cod Army falling to defeat in the game.

Hiwula has featured 40 times in all competitions, netting nine league goals for his side. Fleetwood currently sit 14th in Sky Bet League One, having accumulated 54 points from 43 games.

Tareiq Holmes-Dennis – Portsmouth (Sky Bet League 1)

Holmes-Dennis is continuing his recovery from a knee injury sustained on the opening day of the season. Portsmouth’s last game was a 3-1 defeat to Bradford City at Valley Parade.

Pompey currently sit 8th in the Sky Bet League One table, having taken 63 points from 43 games. They are one point behind Scunthorpe United, who occupy the final play-off place.
