Mark Hudson’s side created several big chances in a game that saw the youngsters fall to their first defeat in eight games. Two second half goals from Crystal Palace propelled them into a two-goal lead, before Regan Booty netted a consolation right at the end.

Huddersfield Town’s Under-18s side will take on Leeds United in the U18 Professional Development League on Wednesday 11 April 2018.

The match will take place at Thorp Arch, Leeds United’s Training Ground, with kick-off scheduled for 1pm.

Leigh Bromby’s side sit 10th in the Professional Development League North table, having so far amassed 32 points from 26 games.

Town’s U18s fell to a 5-0 defeat last time out in the league against Cardiff City at the Cardiff International Sports Stadium.

The Young Terriers side included four trialists in Giosue Bellagambi, Moses Omrore, Sezgin Aleksiev and Osaretin Otote. Two goals in the first half for Cardiff and three in the second condemned Town to defeat in Wales.

Wednesday’s opponent, Leeds United, currently sit second in the U18 Professional Development League with 48 points from 26 games.

The young side, managed by Matt Jackson, come into the game off the back of one defeat in eight – winning seven.
