TEAM NEWS: CRYSTAL PALACE VS TOWN (CARABAO CUP)

19 September 2017

David Wagner has made nine changes to his Huddersfield Town side for this evening’s Carabao Cup Third Round match against Crystal Palace; 7.45pm kick-off at Selhurst Park.

Right-back Florent Hadergjonaj makes for first start for the Terriers after joining the Club in the summer from FC Ingolstadt 04 coming in for Club Captain Tommy Smith.

Martin Cranie and Jonathan Hogg make their first starts of the 2017/18 season after recovering from their respective hip flexor and ankle injuries.

Goal scorers from Town’s Second Round win against Rotherham United, Philip Billing and Joe Lolley also return to the starting line-up.

The only two players to keep their places from the weekend’s 1-1 draw with Leicester City in the Premier League are Tom Ince and Elias Kachunga. Ince is expected to start wide right, with Joe Lolley in the number 10 slot and Rajiv van La Parra on the left, meaning Elias Kachunga will start upfront.

Collin Quaner (calf), Steve Mounié (heel), Jon Gorenc Stanković (knee) and Kasey Palmer (hamstring) are all absent from David Wagner’s First Team squad through injury, whilst Robert Green is cup tied.
