Seven Huddersfield Town players out on loan

- Review of Town’s loan players’ start to the season
- Jack Payne tops Sky Bet League 1’s assists chart

htafc.com takes a look at how Huddersfield Town’s seven loan players are getting on during the 2017/18 season at their respective clubs.

Sean Scannell – Burton Albion (Sky Bet Championship)

Since joining Burton Albion on loan in the summer ‘Scanz’ (above) has made six starts to date for Nigel Clough’s side across both the Sky Bet Championship and the Carabao Cup.

He made his debut for the Brewers in a 1-1 draw at home to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday 26 August 2017 and has mostly played up front for Burton Albion since joining, although he has also appeared on the wing.

Burton Albion currently sit 19th in the Sky Bet Championship and Sean played the full 90 minutes in the Club’s 4-0 defeat to Aston Villa last night.

Jordy Hiwula – Fleetwood Town (Sky Bet League 1)

Jordy Hiwula has been influential for Fleetwood Town since joining the Club on loan scoring four goals in 11 games.

The striker’s latest goal came in the Trawlermen’s 3-0 win over his former club Bradford City.

Fleetwood currently sits ninth in the table, just two points outside the Play-Off places with a game in hand.

Tareiq Holmes-Dennis – Portsmouth (Sky Bet League 1)

Sadly, Tareiq Holmes-Dennis injured his knee 39 minutes into his debut for Portsmouth on the opening day of the season against Rochdale.

The left-back has been ruled out for an estimated time period of four months. Pompey currently sits 11th in the Sky Bet League 1 table.

Jack Payne – Oxford United (Sky Bet League 1)

Jack Payne has impressed in the Sky Bet League 1 since his loan switch to Oxford United.

He has started 10 out of a possible 12 games for the U’s across three competitions and has two goals to his name, bagging goals against Stevenage and Gillingham.

Not only this but Jack is top of the Sky Bet League 1 assist charts with five and Oxford United sit in 15th place.

Jordan Williams – Bury (Sky Bet League 1)

17 year-old right-back Jordan Williams has made five starts for Bury across both the Sky Bet League 1 and the Checkatrade Trophy so far.

Lee Clark’s Bury side sits 19th in the table and Jordan has been an unused substitute for the last three league games.

Rekeil Pyke – Port Vale (Sky Bet League 2)

Young striker Rekeil Pyke has appeared eight time for Port Vale in Sky Bet League 2 since his loan switch in the summer.

He has started three games for the Club, who currently sits 22nd in the league table with five points from 10 matches.

Fraser Horsfall – Kidderminster (Vanarama National League North)

Following his Deadline Day move to Vanarama National League North side Kidderminster Harriers, Fraser has been ever-present in the starting line-up.

He’s made six appearances across both the National League North and the FA Cup and currently has one assist to his name.

Kidderminster currently sit 14th in the league table with 14 points from 11 games, four points off the Play-Off places.
