Membership at PPG Canalside – Huddersfield Town’s training ground – is on the up in the early stages of the 2017/18 Premier League season!
Following a revamp of the membership scheme at the facility during the closed season, fans have been taking visiting in unprecedented numbers on both match days and non-match days.
The number of fans taking advantage of ‘Club PPG Canalside’ membership, which offers exclusive benefits such as discounts on room hire packages and free entry to the Perrys Vauxhall Fanzone on match days, is up almost 30% on the previous membership package.
Equally, numbers at Town’s pre-match Fanzone – which is held at the facility (509 Leeds Road, HD2 1YJ) – are up, with over 1,000 Town supporters visiting to enjoy the food, drink and many fun games for kids of all ages ahead of the most recent Premier League game against Leicester City.
Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Manager for PPG Canalside, Lesley Turner, commented:
“The latest set of numbers we’ve had through regarding membership and the number of fans visiting us on a match day are extremely encouraging. It’s clear that PPG Canalside is becoming the place to be for fans, particularly on the morning of match days.
“The new ‘Club PPG Canalside’ membership was designed to offer supporters the exclusive opportunity to take full advantage of all our facilities throughout the week and the increase in membership numbers – and feedback we’ve had – has made all the hard work of the staff worthwhile.
“Likewise, our PPG Canalside pre-match Fanzone – kindly supported by Perrys Vauxhall – is more popular than ever. Having said that, the facility can certainly cope with even more fans!
