Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner looked ahead to this weekend’s Premier League match against Manchester United in his weekly press conference.
Wagner explained how he could sense the excitement in the dressing room and in the fans as Town prepares to take on “one of the biggest football clubs in the world”.
Town’s Head Coach looked back to where the Club has come from to face sides like Manchester United and discussed taking inspiration from other ‘smaller’ sides who took points off those in the top six.
David Wagner went on to tell the press how the defeat to Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the season could go on to help his side against Manchester United, commenting:
“There’s no doubt about it, Manchester United is one of the top six clubs in the Premier League.
“We have already played Tottenham Hotspur at home, another one of the top six, even though it wasn’t the best result, I didn’t think the performance was as poor as the result was.
“We now have experience against top teams and hopefully, and this is our aim, we can show we have made a few steps further and that we’ve learned a lot out of the Tottenham game.”
