- Six Town players on international duty
- Games take place between Thursday 5 October and 10 October
- Schedule of games included below

Six Huddersfield Town players have been called up to play for their country over the course of the upcoming international break.

Midfielder Aaron Mooy will be the first Town player in action for Australia as they face Syria over two-legs in a World Cup Qualifying Play-Off. The first leg will take place on Thursday afternoon away from Syria in Malaysia due to potential safety concerns, with the second-leg scheduled to be played in Sydney on Tuesday morning.

Having missed out on automatic qualification to Japan on goal difference, the Soceroo’s must first see off Syria over two-legs and then defeat the victor of the South American Play-Off in order to qualify for a place in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Danny Kane has received a call-up for Noel King’s Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad. Danny and his side will play two games against Norway and Isreal on both Thursday and Monday respectively, as they look to continue their 100% winning start in their qualification group for a place in the UEFA U21 European Championships.

First-team regulars Mathias Zanka and Jonas Lössl both received call-ups for the Senior Men’s Denmark squad as they continue their 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign. The Danes currently sit third place in their qualifying group, joint on points with second-placed and Monday’s opponents, Montenegro. Following the Montenegro game, the Danes will then travel back to Copenhagen to face Romania on Sunday afternoon.

Philip Billing has received his second call-up to the Denmark U21 squad, having played both of the previous two games following his first call-up where the Danes defeated the Faroe Islands 3-0 and then Lithuania 6-0. The Young Danes will first host Georgia on Friday evening before travelling to Finland to play their second game of the break on Tuesday evening.

Young ‘keeper Ryan Schofield will also be in the England U19 squad for their double-header against the Czech Republic on Friday and Slovakia on the following Monday. The England U19’s boss, Paul Simpson will continue with his sides preparations for November’s upcoming European Championship qualifiers.
