Defender Mathias Zanka is one of the Huddersfield Town players that has backed Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces campaign this weekend.

The Rainbow Laces campaign has been highlighted across the Premier League this weekend with the aim of supporting LGBT people within sport.

Mathias was a great advocate of a similar campaign at his previous club FC København and explained why he will be wearing the Rainbow Laces against Manchester City.

“I think it’s pretty straight forward,” said the 27 year-old.

“I believe that football is for everyone and I’m against every form of discrimination; it’s as simple as that.

“The LGBT community is a big part of society and should be a big part of football as well.”

The defender went into further detail about why he is backing Stonewall’s campaign and you can watch the video below for free via HTTV, which is sponsored by Illingworth and Gregory.

Zanka also goes into detail with The Terrier about his support for the campaign; click here to find out where you can buy one!
