Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner told #HTTV he was happy with his side’s performance against Man City despite the result.

David Wagner admitted that he isn’t surprised that a number of Town supporters were proud of the Terriers’ performance because they saw a lot of passion and emotion from the players on the pitch.

He went onto reveal what he said to his players following the result, has urged everyone to look ahead to the match away at Arsenal on Wednesday and described striker Laurent Depoitre as a ‘big Terrier’.

On Town’s defensive performance David Wagner commented:

“Everyone knows how strong Man City’s offensive line is and how many opportunities they can usually create.

“I think they created less today, this is credit to my players, but this quality will always create opportunities.

“Unfortunately, they used two, the second was very unlucky but this is a top-class team.

“We lost today, a disappointing result because the players invested so much, I think they deserved to get something for what they invested.

“But I said to them, listen, take the positives out of this game and there are a lot of positives, then we will recover as well as we can to make sure we have fresh legs for Wednesday; then we will try it again!”
