Huddersfield Town’s Assistant Head Coach Christoph Buehler revealed to #HTTV how much work goes into analysing Premier League opponents.
Buehler went on to explain the main difference between playing Premier League opponents instead of Sky Bet Championship ones and went into detail about how much work is done on opposing sides.
The Assistant Head Coach went on to discuss the importance of bringing the players and their families out to Marbella and explained how positive a close group both on and off-the-pitch can benefit the Club this season.
When discussing the amount of work done by the Analysis Department Christoph explained:
“We put a lot of work into it; the thing is, you think you know Premier League players, but you don’t know them really as you just see parts of the game on television.
“To analyse them in depth then it helps us to understand what their plan is tactical wise and team wise.
“We analyse them individually as well to get a better view and understanding of what he is doing.
“So, for example if our left back is facing a right winger then we will know exactly what his strengths and weaknesses are, so this means you have to put a lot of hours into analysing each opponent.”
