The generosity of one of Huddersfield Town’s commercial partners has improved the match day experience for visually impaired fans at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Town’s Audio Partner Bowers & Wilkins – producers of award-winning, next generation headphones – has donated 10 brand new P3 headphones to the Club for the use of visually impaired supporters on home match days.

These supporters listen to match commentary whilst taking in the amazing atmosphere on Premier League match days and now the quality of the sound will be vastly improved due to Bowers & Wilkins.

Town fans Steven Downes, Emma Downes, Phil Daniel and David Quarmby came down to test the new headphones; they are pictured above with Commercial Director Sean Jarvis.

Bowers and Wilkins explained:

“As Town’s Audio Partner and as a manufacturer of quality headphones, we have an ambition to make sure that every pair used at the John Smith’s Stadium on a Huddersfield Town match day is a pair of Bowers & Wilkins.

“In our discussions with the Club, it quickly became clear that providing our headphones for the use of visually impaired fans on match days was absolutely the right thing to do.

“The P3s will undoubtedly improve the match day experience of these fans. They’re comfortable throughout a 90-minute period and will ensure the commentary from hospital radio will be heard loud and clear.

“We’re delighted to be able to help out the Club and its fans in this way.”

Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis added:

“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Bowers & Wilkins for the generous donation of these headphones, which will make a tangible difference to our visually impaired fans on match days.

“Bowers & Wilkins is one of the most proactive businesses we work with; they’ve been a pleasure to deal with so far. I look forward to working with them on more projects in the future.”
