LOAN: DAVIDSON TO RETURN TO HUDDERSFIELD TOWN

2 May 2017

Update on Town’s Australian international

- Jason Davidson will return to Huddersfield Town
- Australian international on loan at FC Groningen
- Dutch side hasn't taken option to buy the defender

Australian international defender Jason Davidson will return to Huddersfield Town at the end of his loan spell at Dutch side FC Groningen.

The 25 year-old left back joined the Eredivisie outfit on a season-long loan during the August 2016 transfer window.

He has subsequently made 18 starts for Manager Ernest Faber’s side, getting two assists, but Groningen has confirmed to Huddersfield Town that it will not exercise its option to buy the defender.

Jason’s loan with the Dutch side will not officially end until 31 May 2017, so Jason will not be eligible to play for the Terriers during the conclusion of the 2016/17 Sky Bet Championship season.

Davidson, who joined Town from Premier League side West Bromwich Albion in the summer of 2015, is contracted until June 2018.
