- Izzy Brown also on shortlist for monthly player accolade
- Both winners revealed at 6am on Friday

Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner and midfielder Izzy Brown have been named on four-man shortlists for the Sky Bet Championship February 2017 Manager and Player of the Month award.

Town’s Head Coach has been nominated alongside Newcastle United's Rafa Benitez, Fulham's Slavisa Jokanovic and Preston North End's former Town boss Simon Grayson for the monthly accolade after guiding the Terriers to 16 points from a possible 18 over a busy period.

The month started with big home wins over Brighton & Hove Albion and Leeds United, before equally impressive wins on the road at QPR and Rotherham United.

The home win over promotion hopefuls Reading set the Terriers up for a 100% return in the month, only for the final game to end 1-1 at Barnsley.

Wagner has already been named Manager of the Month this season, after he was given the award in August after Town won four of their first five games of the 2016/17 campaign. He was also nominated for the December 2016 accolade.

Meanwhile, Izzy has received his first nomination for the 'Player of the Month' accolade as a Town player.

Continuing his excellent form upon signing on loan from Chelsea in January 2017, Izzy scored two goals in another impressive month for player and Club, netting the first goal in the 2-1 derby day win over Leeds United before netting again to set the Terriers on their way to an away win at Loftus Road.

Brown is up against Brentford's Jota, Preston's Aiden McGeady and Cardiff City striker Kenneth Zohore for the award.

The winners of the awards will be announced from 6am on Friday 10 March 2017.
