The game will be played on Saturday 18 March 2017, with a 1pm kick-off at Brighton & Hove Albion's American Express Elite Football Performance Centre (BN15 9FP).

This is the first knockout stage in this season’s revamped PL Cup, which was switched from a straight knockout competition to a group stage this campaign.

32 teams were split into eight groups of four, with six matches being played per side. After all the matches were completed, the top two from each group progressed to the Round of 16 knockout stage.

Frankie Bunn’s Development Squad was placed in Group G of the new-look competition alongside Category 1 Academies Liverpool FC, West Bromwich Albion, and fellow Category 2 side Ipswich Town.

The young Terriers progressed by finishing second in the group with seven points from six games, secured through impressive away wins at West Bromwich Albion and Ipswich Town as well as home draw against the Tractor Boys.

As per the Professional Development League games, teams can play three overage outfield players as well as an overage goalkeeper if they desire.

Last season, Town reached the semi-final of the competition before being cruelly denied a place in the final through a penalty shootout defeat by Hull City.
