Billing retains place as Wagner makes 10 changes

- David Wagner makes 10 changes to starting XI
- Philip Billing retains place from Man City game
- Christopher Schindler fit to start against Newcastle United

Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner has made ten changes to his starting line-up for today’s Sky Bet Championship game against Newcastle United; 5.30pm kick-off at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Only Philip Billing retains his place in the eleven from the midweek Emirates FA Cup game at Manchester City, with Aaron Mooy returning to replace Dean Whitehead in midfield. Whitehead drops out of the squad entirely, with Jonathan Hogg a substitute.

In fact, the side this evening is the same one that started the 1-0 home win over Reading in the last game at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Danny Ward starts in goal, with the entire back four changing from the game at the Etihad as Chris Löwe, Christopher Schindler (pictured above), Michael Hefele and Tommy Smith return. Smith captains the side again tonight.

Izzy Brown lines up in front of Billing and Mooy in midfield, with Rajiv van La Parra on the left and Elias Kachunga on the right flank.

Nahki Wells – a scorer in the 2-1 away win at Newcastle United back in August – starts up front.

Only Kasey Palmer (hamstring) is unavailable through injury today.
