Youngster already has 13 caps for the Under-21s

Huddersfield Town defender Jon Gorenc Stanković has been called-up to the latest Slovenia Under-21s squad.

Primož Gliha’s youngsters will face Croatia during the upcoming international break in March in an international friendly.

Jon has been a regular in Gliha’s squad and last appeared for Slovenia’s Under-21s side in a 3-1 defeat to Serbia; the defender has 13 caps at Under-21s level.

Stanković and his teammates will play Croatia in Varaždin on Friday 24 March 2017, 3.30pm local time.

After his match during the international break, Jon will have time to re-join David Wagner’s First Team squad ahead of the game against Burton Albion in the Sky Bet Championship.

Jon is the sixth member of Town’s First Team squad to receive international summons during for this period.
