Huddersfield Town’s Izzy Brown has received his first call-up for the England Under-21s squad.

The 20 year-old attacking midfielder, has been summoned to the international squad by Aidy Boothroyd for the forthcoming international friendlies against Germany and Denmark.

Izzy could feature in the young lions’ match against Germany on Friday 24 March 2017, which kick-off at 8pm local time at the Brita-Arena in Wiesbaden. The second match away at Denmark will take place on Monday 27 March at the Randers Stadium, 7pm kick-off local time.

The midfielder has previously been capped by England at Under-16, 17, 19 and 20 level, last representing his country at Under-20 level in a win over Iran.

Following the matches, Izzy will return to David Wagner’s First Team ahead of the Terriers’ match against Burton Albion on Saturday 1 April.

Izzy has impressed since joining Huddersfield Town on loan in the January transfer window and was nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month for a string of good performances last month.

He is the fifth member of Town’s First Team to be selected for their country during the international break, following in the footsteps of Philip Billing, Aaron Mooy, Elias Kachunga and Danny Ward.
