Young Terriers will take part in a two-week Seville training camp

Huddersfield Town’s Under-18s side will take part in a pre-season training camp in Seville organised by League Football Education.
The young Terriers, led by Professional Development Coach Leigh Bromby, will embark on a two-week training camp in Spain ahead of the start of the 2017/18 Professional Development League season.
Town was selected by the League Football Education (LFE) for the Erasmus+ training camp after applying earlier this year, outlining how the scheme could benefit the Club going forwards.
Leigh Bromby’s side was successful in applying for the trip and will be on the only English side at the camp during the fortnight.
After completing the two pre-season friendlies against Sunderland and Wrexham, which have already been confirmed, the U18 squad will travel to Seville on Sunday 30 July 2017 and return on Friday 11 August 2017.
During that time, Town’s youngsters will take part in three friendlies against European opposition and take part in four guest training sessions from Spanish coaches, on top of those delivered by Leigh Bromby and the Club’s staff.
Not only this, the players will also take part in several social and cultural activities arranged by the LFE and attend a La Liga match.
Huddersfield Town’s Academy Manager Steve Weaver commented:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for our young players; they will be able to experience a new culture, be trained by Spanish coaches and play against youngsters from top La Liga sides.
“Like the Lilleshall trip, it will also give the younger lads extra time together to bond as a group and work on specific things in training with Leigh Bromby and our other coaching staff.
“This is a chance we may never get again and although it extends the Under-18s’ pre-season, it will ultimately help develop them as players and people, whilst also focusing the lads perfectly before the start of the Professional Development League.”
