David Wagner’s squad to play two friendlies abroad
- Town's First Team going to Austria in pre-season
- Squad staying in Kirchberg between 29 July & 5 August
- Two friendlies planned for time in mainland Europe
Huddersfield Town will return to Austria during the final stages of preparation for the 2017/18 Premier League campaign in late July 2017.
The Terriers’ First Team squad will stay in Kirchberg in Tirol, Austria, flying out from Leeds Bradford Airport on Saturday 29 July and returning to England a week later (5 August); seven days before the start of the Club’s first ever Premier League campaign.
During the stay, David Wagner’s side will play two friendly fixtures, details of which are expected to be confirmed and announced on htafc.com shortly.
This will be the second successive season that Town has spent a period of pre-season in Austria following on from last year’s trip to Fügen, when Wagner’s men drew with SV Werder Bremen and defeated FC Ingolstadt 04 1-0 through a Michael Hefele goal.
The First Team's pre-season schedule currently reads as follows:

Sunday 16 July 2017 | Bury | A | 3pm |
