Huddersfield Town will officially be named as a Premier League club today (8 June 2017) at the League’s Annual General Meeting.

The event marks the change from the 2016/17 season to the 2017/18 campaign as the three relegated sides – Hull City, Middlesbrough and Sunderland – all hand back their share certificates; a document that grants Premier League status.

Town, who is represented at the meeting in Harrogate by Chairman Dean Hoyle and Chief Executive Julian Winter, will then be formally welcomed into the Premier League after receiving its framed share certificate.

Once the Club has been officially inducted into the top flight of English football, the Town crest will appear at the top of the Premier League website alongside the other 19 teams and the Terriers will also be included in the league table as it updates to the 2017/18 season.

Not only this but the Club’s official Twitter account @htafcdotcom will be followed by @premierleague.

Don’t forget Huddersfield Town’s first ever set of Premier League fixtures will be announced on Wednesday 14 June 2017 at 9am; check htafc.com for Town’s 38 matches!
