- Billing & Stanković also on road to recovery

Despite suffering a small fracture to a bone in his foot, defender Tommy Smith is expected to return to full training during pre-season as the Terriers prepare for the Premier League.

Town’s right back, a virtual ever-present in the successful promotion campaign, was forced off in the 88th minute of the dramatic Play-Off Final win over Wembley after being tackled by Reading striker Yann Kermorgant.

Scans have subsequently revealed that Tommy suffered a small fracture to a bone in his foot, but his recovery process is already under way and he is expected to return to full training during the early stages of the pre-season build-up.

Philip Billing and Jon Gorenc Stanković (both knee) are also on the road to recovery.
