Head Coach & Assistant commit futures to Town

- David Wagner & Christoph Buehler sign new contracts
- Duo sign deals running until summer of 2019
- Pair with Dean Hoyle at 10am press conference

Head Coach David Wagner and Assistant Head Coach Christoph Buehler have reaffirmed their commitment to Huddersfield Town after signing new contracts at the Club.

David and Christoph has put pen to paper on new contracts that will run until the summer of 2019 ahead of the Club’s first ever Premier League campaign.

The pair, alongside Town Chairman Dean Hoyle, will hold a press conference to discuss their new contracts at PPG Canalside from 10am this morning.

Wagner & Buehler joined the Club from Borussia Dortmund II in November 2015 and made an immediate impact at Huddersfield Town, dramatically changing the playing philosophy and behind-the-scenes culture as the Club consolidated its status in the Sky Bet Championship in the 2015/16 season.

Those changes, combined with a newly discounted Season Card deal, saw the number of the Club’s Season Card holders climb from around 8,000 to 15,001 in preparation for the 2016/17 season.

Their first full pre-season, combined with a busy summer of recruitment in the European and domestic markets, led to the period now known as the ‘Wagner Revolution’ at Huddersfield Town, with the team leading the way early in the Sky Bet Championship season.

That momentum never truly subsided, with the Club making the second tier Play-Offs for the first time in an ultimately successful campaign, with the Wembley win over Reading ensuring a position in the top flight for the first time in 45 years.

Now David, alongside Christoph, has recommitted his future to Huddersfield Town as preparations continue for the upcoming Premier League campaign.
