Leigh Bromby took his side to Colliers Park on Wednesday afternoon to face Wrexham in a pre-season friendly ahead of the upcoming U18 Professional Development League campaign.
After a quiet first half, Town went a goal down in the 62nd minute as the referee gave a penalty following a handball in the box; which was duly dispatched by the host.
Leigh Bromby’s side fought back and got the equaliser only 9 minutes later as substitute Matty Daly got on the scoresheet to bring the sides level.
With only 2 minutes of the game remaining, Wrexham grabbed a late winner to condemn Leigh Bromby’s side to defeat in Wales.
