Find out everything you need to know about Huddersfield Town’s new signing Mathias Jørgensen after he joined the Club from F.C. Copenhagen for an undisclosed fee.

Born on 23 April 1990 in Copenhagen, Mathias starting playing football at Danish second tier club B.93, playing for the First Team at just 16 years old.

After spending a week on trial at Arsenal, he moved to F.C. Copenhagen in 2007 and went on to establish himself in the top flight team, playing games in the UEFA Cup too.

He earned his first Denmark cap in November 2008 in a friendly against Wales and was soon named captain of his club side, leading Copenhagen to three straight title wins between 2008 and 2011.

In the summer of 2012, he joined Dutch side PSV Eindhoven on a free transfer. Although he won the Dutch Super Cup, his playing time was limited in Holland and he returned to his former club in June 2014.

His return sparked another rich run of form for the Danish side, which has completed the league and cup double in the last two seasons.
