U23s & U18s BOTH IN ACTION THIS WEEKEND

U23s at PPG Canalside while U18s travels to Hull

-    Both Under-23s and Under-18s are in action this weekend
-    Leigh Bromby’s Under-18s travels to Hull on Saturday
-    Frankie Bunn’s Under-23s hosts Barnsley on Sunday

Huddersfield Town’s Under-18s and Under-23s are both in action this weekend, playing Professional Development League fixtures on Saturday and Sunday respectively.



Professional Development Coach Leigh Bromby will take charge of his first Under-18s PDL game this weekend when they young Terriers travels to Hull City on the Saturday.

Bromby, takes up the role after Tony Carss was appointed as the Head of Academy Coaching on 24 December 2016.

Town’s youngsters will look to get back to winning ways in the Professional Development League match, which kicks-off at 11am.

Huddersfield Town’s Under-18s side was last in action just before Christmas on the 17 December, when they lost 2-1 at the John Smith’s Stadium to AFC Wimbledon in the FA Youth Cup. Highlights of the game are available below courtesy of HTTV.



The Under-18s’ last league fixture was a 0-0 draw at home to Birmingham City on Saturday 10 December, the point means they sit sixth in the league after the winter break.

This weekend’s opponents, Hull City, will be keen to keep up their fine run of form in the league after winning their previous two games against both Crewe Alexandra and Leeds United.

Hull’s Under-18s are currently one point behind Town’s Under-18s in the table on 25 points.



The following day, Frankie Bunn’s Under-23s side hosts Barnsley at PPG Canalside in their Professional Development League fixture.

The game will be a 2pm kick-off on Sunday 14 January at Huddersfield Town’s Training Ground, PPG Canalside (509 Leeds Rd, Huddersfield, HD2 1YJ) and fans can attend the match for just £1, which includes a team sheet!

Bunn’s Under-23s will be eager to bounce back after their agonising 2-1 defeat to Sheffield United on Monday afternoon. Two goals in the last 10 minutes condemned Town’s youngsters to the defeat. You can watch highlights via HTTV below!



Huddersfield Town’s U23s opponents on Sunday, Barnsley, will also want to get back to winning ways after losing their last three matches. They were beaten by Nottingham Forest, Crewe Alexandra and Leeds United before the Christmas period.
