Huddersfield Town has given Ivan Paurević permission to speak to his former club FC Ufa.

Paurević joined the Terriers from the Russian side in the summer but has only made two appearances off the bench for David Wagner’s side since his arrival.

The 6’ 5” tall midfielder, made his Huddersfield Town debut in the Club’s opening game of the season against Brentford in the Sky Bet Championship and appeared for David Wagner’s side just three days later when he replaced Jonathan Hogg as a half-time substitute against Shrewsbury Town.

Since then, Paurević’s only First Team involvement has been as an unused substitute in Town’s 2-1 win over Rotherham United and in the 5-0 defeat away at Fulham.

Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner commented:

“Unfortunately, Ivan hasn’t had the amount of playing time we thought since he joined Huddersfield Town in the summer. This is mainly because of the good form of Hoggy, Aaron, Deano and Phil, which is why we have allowed him to speak to his former club FC Ufa.

“It is important for him as a 25 year-old, that he keeps playing and tries to develop himself further and I feel he has the best opportunity to do that there.

“I would like to thank Ivan for the hard work and effort he put in at the training ground.”
