Town's Fifth Round opponent decided

-    Huddersfield Town faces Man City in Fifth Round
-    Town face Man City at the John Smith's Stadium
-    Match to take place on the weekend commencing Friday 17 February

Huddersfield Town will face Manchester City at the John Smith's Stadium in the Fifth Round of the Emirates FA Cup.

England Manager Gareth Southgate and ex-Premier League footballer Robbie Savage, drew the Terriers' ball out to face two-time Premier League Champions Manchester City at the John Smith's Stadium on the weekend of 18 February.

Managed by Pep Guardiola, Manchester City sits fifth in the Premier League table, with 43 points from 22 games.

Huddersfield Town has met Manchester City four times in the Emirates FA Cup. The first time the two sides met, City beat Town 4-0 in the Fourth Round of the competition in 1926.

In 1988 the two sides met three times in the competition; the first two matches ended 2-2 and 0-0 taking the teams to a third replay with Man City progressing after a 3-0 win at Leeds Road.

The last time the two met was in 2000; the Terriers drew 1-1 with the Citizens in Division One at what was then the McAlpine Stadium.

This match means Huddersfield Town’s Sky Bet Championship match at home to Reading FC will be rescheduled, with the exact date and admission info being confirmed on at a later date.

Town progressed to the Fifth Round of the Emirates FA Cup for the first time since 2013 following 4-0 wins over both Port Vale and Rochdale in the Third and Fourth Rounds respectively. You can see the four goals from the Rochdale match via our behind-the-goal camera below courtesy of HTTV!
