20 year-old departs for the rest of the season

Huddersfield Town striker Flo Bojaj has today joined Sky Bet League 2 club Newport County on a Standard Loan until 7 May 2017 inclusive.
This will be a second loan spell for the Development Squad forward, who has recently returned from a half-season move to Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock; he made three starts and two substitute appearances north of the border.
He will now spend the second half of the season with the Exiles, who are managed by Graham Westley. The side currently sits bottom of the Sky Bet League 2 table with 17 points from the opening 24 games, five points from safety with a game in hand.
Westley’s men host Colchester United at their Rodney Parade ground on Saturday, when they will look to arrest an eight game losing streak in the league.
Huddersfield Town’s Head of Football Operations Stuart Webber explained:
“This is an important loan move for Flo and we’re delighted that we’ve managed to arrange this spell at Newport County for him.
“Flo is well versed at Under-23 level now and needs more experience of senior football. He’ll certainly get that at Newport, where getting points is of paramount importance and livelihoods are on the line.
“We’re looking forward to seeing Flo establish himself in the Newport County side and score goals at Sky Bet League 2 level.”
Bojaj was born in Kosovo and moved to the UK with his parents at a very young age.
He joined the Huddersfield Town Academy on the eve of the 2013/14 season after a successful three week trial period from Hertfordshire side Borehamwood Youth.
A former Albania Under-17 international, he has made eight substitute appearances in the Sky Bet Championship for the Terriers, scoring in a 3-1 home win over Reading in March 2016.
His contract at Huddersfield Town runs out at the end of the 2016/17 season, although the Club has the option of a further year’s extension.
