THE COWSHED RETURNS WITH CHADWICK LAWRENCE!

1 February 2017

JSS goes back in time, starting at the Retro Game

- The Cowshed returns to Huddersfield Town
- Chadwick Lawrence backs new initiative
- Comment from Commercial Director Sean Jarvis

The legendary Cowshed has returned to Huddersfield Town ahead of the Club’s ‘Retro Game’ against Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday evening.

With fans being encouraged to wear their favourite Town shirt from years gone by at the match against the league leaders, Club Partner Chadwick Lawrence has joined in to help the iconic Leeds Road stand return to the John Smith’s Stadium on Town match days.

The South Stand, which is sponsored by Chadwick Lawrence and has housed the NSL section of home fans as well as away fans all season, will now be known as the Chadwick Lawrence Cowshed.

Peter Harling, Daniel Krigers and Jack Oldroyd from Chadwick Lawrence are pictured with their favourite retro Town shirts in front of the Cowshed banner in the Chadwick Lawrence Cowshed celebrating the new name.

Peter Harling, Partner at Chadwick Lawrence, came up with the idea and commented:

“We are really impressed with the efforts of the North Stand Loyal and the fan-base, which has grown in the South Stand throughout this season. The atmosphere is fantastic at home games and we are delighted to have been able to support North Stand Loyal to date.

“At the Ipswich game, I really enjoyed the display the NSL put on and I tweeted a picture of it from our hospitality box. Referring to the stand as the Chadwick Lawrence Cowshed at the time is something we are keen to back going forwards, as it cements a piece of the Club’s history in the current stadium.

“Going forwards, therefore, we would love for the fans to look at their home end as the Chadwick Lawrence Cowshed. The Club is right behind this and it is particularly timely with the hugely important ‘Retro Game’ coming up against Brighton on Thursday night.”

Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis added:

"I know how fondly the Cowshed is remembered.

“Now we have our own Cowshed in the Chadwick Lawrence Stand, which has made a huge difference to the match day atmosphere at the John Smith’s Stadium this season.

“Renaming the stand on Huddersfield Town match days was a great idea from Peter and I’d like to thank the Chadwick Lawrence team for their support.

“Hopefully we’ll see the new Chadwick Lawrence Cowshed packed with Town fans when Brighton visits on Thursday night!”
