Wagner makes seven changes from Rotherham win

- David Wagner makes seven changes to starting XI
- Jack Payne makes first start in eight matches
- Regan Booty among the substitutes

Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner has made seven changes to the starting XI for today’s Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round tie with Manchester City; 3pm kick-off at the John Smith’s Stadium.

As expected, Wagner has kept faith with many the players who have helped the Terriers progress past Port Vale and Rochdale to reach today’s game.

Goalkeeper Joel Coleman, centre backs Mark Hudson and Jon Gorenc Stanković and midfielder Dean Whitehead all make their first appearances since the Fourth Round win at Spotland this afternoon.

There’s also a start for attacking midfielder Jack Payne (pictured above); his first since being sent off at Sheffield Wednesday seven games ago.

Martin Cranie replaces Tommy Smith at right back, whilst Rajiv van La Parra also returns to the starting line-up at the expense of Elias Kachunga.

Tareiq Holmes-Dennis, Philip Billing, Joe Lolley and Collin Quaner are the players to retain their starting shirts from the midweek league victory at Rotherham United.

There’s a new name among the substitutes today, with 19 year-old midfielder Regan Booty making a competitive squad for the first time. Regan, who hails from Holmfirth and joined the Town Academy at Under-9 level, is the Club’s Under-23 Captain.

There’s no Jonathan Hogg (groin), Sean Scannell (ankle), Aaron Mooy (ineligible), Harry Bunn (hamstring), or Kasey Palmer (hamstring) today, whilst centre backs Christopher Schindler and Michael Hefele are rested.
