- Philip Billing misses out through illness

Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner has made nine changes to the starting XI for tonight’s Sky Bet Championship game against Brighton & Hove Albion; 7.45pm kick-off at the John Smith’s Stadium.

As expected, Wagner has made wholesale changes from the side that defeated Rochdale in the Emirates FA Cup for tonight’s fixture against the league leaders.

Danny Ward returns in goal, with a complete change in the back four as Chris Löwe, Christopher Schindler, Michael Hefele and Tommy Smith start; the latter captains the side tonight.

The central midfield pairing of Aaron Mooy and Jonathan Hogg begin the game, whilst Izzy Brown and Elias Kachunga are the two players to retain their places ahead of them. The final player starting in the attacking midfield trio is one-time Brighton loanee Rajiv van La Parra, who scored twice in six appearances for the Seagulls in late 2015.

Reigning Player of the Year Nahki Wells returns in attack, with January recruit Collin Quaner among the substitutes.

Kasey Palmer makes a welcome return to the bench tonight after a three-game absence due to a hamstring injury. Joe Lolley is also back after missing the Rochdale game due to a pre-planned assessment on his old foot injury.

Philip Billing misses out through illness this evening, whilst Jack Payne serves the final game of his three-match suspension. Sean Scannell is still absent following ankle surgery.

Mark Hudson, Harry Bunn, and Martin Cranie are not involved this evening.
