TEAM NEWS: QPR vs TOWN

Wagner makes three changes to starting XI

- David Wagner makes three changes for QPR game
- Martin Cranie, Nahki Wells & Izzy Brown start
- Jonathan Hogg makes 100th league start for Town

Fresh from signing a contract extension in midweek, Martin Cranie comes into the team today as one of three changes for the 3pm Sky Bet Championship kick-off at QPR.

Cranie, who played six games on loan for today’s opponents back in late 2007, comes into the team at right back for Tommy Smith. Smith got a knock on the knee during Sunday’s victory over Leeds United and is among the substitutes this afternoon.

David Wagner’s second change comes in attack, where Nahki Wells (pictured above) replaces Collin Quaner to make his 250th appearance in competitive English football. The Bermudian has scored in both his previous appearances at Loftus Road. Quaner is a substitute today.

The final change is enforced, with the injured Kasey Palmer (hamstring) replaced by fellow Chelsea loanee Izzy Brown.

Jonathan Hogg makes the 200th league start of his career today, as well as his 100th league start for Huddersfield Town. He captains the side in Mark Hudson, Dean Whitehead, and Smith’s absence from the starting XI.

Having missed the last two games through illness, midfielder Philip Billing is a substitute again today, whilst Jack Payne and Jon Gorenc Stanković also return to the squad.

Sean Scannell (ankle) is still unavailable, alongside Palmer.
